Dublique collects no data. None. The app runs entirely on your iPhone, and nothing you do in it ever leaves the device.
There is no account to create, no email to give, no analytics watching you read, and no servers for us to keep your information on — because there is no information for us to keep.
Dublique is a daily-word app that ships with its words already built in. When you open it, everything happens on your device. We — Capiscana, Inc., the maker of Dublique — do not collect, receive, store, sell, share, or transmit any personal information about you. We have no way to identify you and no record that you use the app at all.
We collect nothing. Dublique has no user accounts, no sign-in, no profile, and no login of any kind. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or any other personal detail in order to work.
Dublique contains no analytics tools, no crash-reporting services, no advertising, and no third-party tracking software of any kind. It does not use the device’s advertising identifier, does not build a profile of you, and does not track you across other apps or websites. There is no “Allow Tracking” prompt because there is nothing to track.
Every word, definition, etymology, and example lives inside the app when you download it. Dublique does not need an internet connection to show you the day’s word, and it makes no network requests to us or to anyone else. Your reading stays on your phone.
A few small things are stored locally on your iPhone, purely so the app remembers your preferences between visits. These never leave your device and are never sent to us:
Deleting the app removes all of this from your phone.
If you choose to save a word’s share card as an image, Dublique asks iOS for permission to add that one image to your photo library, and writes it there. That is the only reason the app ever touches your photos. Dublique can only add images you explicitly save; it cannot read, browse, or access any of your existing photos. If you never tap “Save Image,” the app never touches your photo library at all.
When you share the day’s word, Dublique hands a card or some text to Apple’s standard iOS share sheet, and you choose where it goes — Messages, Mail, or another app. Whatever you share, and wherever you send it, is handled by the app you pick and that app’s own privacy policy. Dublique itself sends nothing on your behalf.
Dublique is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects no data whatsoever, it poses no data-privacy risk to children or adults.
Dublique is a one-time paid app. Your purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment-card details, billing address, or Apple Account information; Apple processes the transaction under Apple’s Privacy Policy and shares only aggregate, anonymous sales figures with us.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR (Europe) and the CCPA/CPRA (California) give you rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information a company holds about you. Because Dublique holds no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, sell, or delete — and we never sell or share personal information, because we have none.
If we ever change how Dublique handles information, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. If a future version of the app were ever to collect data, we would say so clearly here and request your consent in-app before doing so. This policy governs the current version of the app.
Questions about your privacy, or about Dublique generally, are welcome. Write to us and a real person will read it:
